A Special edition of Potroast which will be published between issues 9 & 10.

Designed to showcase comics’ literary merit, we will favour works which really challenge the concepts of visual storytelling – we’re looking for ‘graphic storytelling’ and ‘narrative drawings.’

In contrast to the usual issues of Potroast, the Comics Special issue will be printed in A4. You’ve got a few options by way of page layout:

  • One half page – a landscape A5.
  • One full A4 – portrait
  • Two full A4 pages – portrait
  • And lastly, if you’ve got something in mind you think would be perfect, but it needs more than two A4 pages, get in touch, we’re offering more pages by negotiation.

The issue will be printed in black and white, so please keep this in mind when submitting work.

The issue will be distributed through our retailers – New Zealand Comics in Wellington, and Gotham Comics in Onehunga. We will also be taking it to Armageddon AKL and Wellington Zinefest.

Deadline: 9th September
